The information on this site takes the form of:

• A genealogical database which you can search for a particular name. This will show the family (parents, spouse, children, with dates and places) if known. Although the database is mainly concerned with the BOTTLE surname, there are many other surnames too.

• Some 'BOTTLE' family tree diagrams. You will need to know which Tree Number your person is on: this is included with the Reference Number in the above database, in the form of NNNN/TTT, where NNNN is the four-digit reference and TTT is the tree. BOTTLE trees are numbered 000-999, but "Tree 000" is for all those individuals whose family I have not yet identified (there are a lot of them!) If anyone can help place any I would be glad to hear, please.

• Some ancillary information related to BOTTLEs, such as transcripts of documents, photographs, drawings, music etc.

Most of this information relates to people who used the surname BOTTLE (and some variants, particularly early on), but many other family names are included. They are listed on the database "Surname List".

I have excluded from the database anyone born from 1908 onwards and I have not included my Notes and Sources information (because they include detailed references to people still alive). If further information is required, please get in touch with me.

I am not in this database (I am not yet 100 years old!), but my parents are; they were Charles Edward #0085 and Margaret Jane (RICHARDS) #0007, on Tree 235. I am the youngest of their four children, born 1932.
