In the Name of God Amen
I Robert Bottle [2762] the Elder now residing in the
parish of Harrietsham Carpenter being aged
and infirm but of Sound and disposing Mind
and Memory do make and ordain this my
last Will and Testament in manner and fform
following that is to say I give to my Son Sampson
Bottle [2319?] the sum of five pounds and I give to
my two Sons Richard Bottle [2290] and George Bottle [5311]
Vizt (?) to each of them the Sum of Ten pounds a piece
And all the rest and residue of my Goods
Chattles Rights Credits and personal Estate
whatsoever I give and bequeath unto my
loving daughter Sarah [2779] the wife of James
Barham [2384] of Harrietsham aforesaid Husbandman
In Consideration of her great pains Care
and attendance upon me in my old age for
several years past And I make and appoint
the said James Barham [2384] And Sarah [2779] his
Wife Executors of this my last Will and
Testament In witness whereof I have hereunto
set my hand and Seal the Seventeenth Day
of May in the year of Our Lord One Thousand
Seven hundred and fortytwo hereby revoking
all former Wills or Wills by me at any time
heretofore made. The mark of the Testator
Robert Bottle [2762]. Signed Sealed published and
declared by the above named Robert Bottle [2762]
as and for his last Will and Testament in the
presence of Wm Horsmonden Turner Thomas
Barham.
The before registered Will of Robert Bottle [2762]
deceased was proved the frst Day of February
in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven
Hundred and forty two before the Reverend
Richard Noinns (?) clerk lawful Surrogate to the
worshipful Edward Simpson Doctor of Law
Official General to the Reverend the Archdeacon
of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the oath of
James Barham [2384] One of the Executors therein named
to whom Administration of the goods Chattles
and Credits of the said deceased was committed
he being first sworn well and truly to perform
the same the like power being referred for the
other Executor to take upon her the Execution
thereof when She thinks fitt.
