In the name of god Amen
I Alexander Bottle [3271] of Staplehurst in the County of Kent yeoman
being somewhat weake of body but of sound and perfect (?) mind and
memory praised be Almighty God therefore (?) doo make and ordaine
this my last will and Testament in writing in manner and forme
following that is to say First and principally I comend my soule
into the hands of Almighty God hoping through the ...
death and passion of my blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ
to have full and free pardon and forgiveness of all my Sinnes
and to inherit everlasting life and my body I commit to this
earth to be decently buried in the parish Churchyard of Charte
next Sutton Vallance in the said County of Kent att the
discretion of my Executrix hereafter named and as touching (?)
the disposition of all such personall estate as it hath pleased
the Almighty God to bestow upon me I give and dispose
thereof as followeth that is to say First I will and appoint that
my debt legacies and funeral charges shall be paid and discharged
by my Executrix hereafter named Item I give and bequeath unto
each of my loveing brothers and sisters Richard Bottle [3212] of Charte
aforesaid yeoman William Bottle [6745] Mary Bottle [2769] Frances Bottle

Alice Ely [2771], Elizabeth Rich [3387] and Sarah Bottle [6743] five pounds
apeice of lawfull money of England Item I give and bequeath
unto my loveing sister Hester Tadman [5359] the sume of five
pounds of like money all which said legacies last mentioned (?) my
mind and will is shall be paid my my said Executrix within
twelve monthes next ensueing after my decease and it is my mind
and will that if any or either of the said legatees shall happen to
dye or depart this life within twelve months next ensuing
after my decease that then the legacy or legacies of him her or
them soe dying as aforesaid shall be equally divided between
the then surviveing legatee or legatees share and share alike
Item I give and bequeath unto my said brother William Bottle [6745]
as well my new waggon and wheeles with the appurtenise
thereunto belonging as also all my wearing apparell to be
delivered unto him by my said Executrix after my decease Item
I give and bequeath unto my loveing Cousin Hester Tadman
one Silver spoone to be delivered unto her by my said Executrix
after my decease And also I give and bequeath unto each of my
said brothers and sisters five pounds more apeice of like money
to be paid unto them within one yeare next ensueing after
my now wife Ann [5669] decease by her Executor or Executors Item
from and after my debt legacies and funerall expenses shall be
paid and discharged I give and bequeath the then rest and
residue of my goods and Ch'ells plate and household goods
unbequeathed unto my now said loveing wife Ann Bottle [5669]
whome I do make ordaine and appoint my sole Executrix
of this my last will and testament And I doo hereby revoake
and make void all former wills testaments and Codicells by
me made In witness of whereof I the said Alexander Bottle [3271]
to this my last will and Testament have hereunto putt my
hand and seale the two and twentieth day of September in
the thirteenth yeare of the Reigne of our soveraigne
Lord William the Third by the Grace of God of England Scotland
