Last Will and Testament of Laura Bottle [3486] of 12 Mill St Wincanton,
Somerset, Spinster


1. I hereby revoke all previous testamentary instruments heretofore made
by me.

2. I appoint my brother Thomas William Bottle [2086] of 29 Barnard Road
London S W and his wife Evangeline Mary Bottle [3677] and my friend
William Harold Benjafield of Wincanton to be the Executors and Trustees
of this my will and in consideration of the said William Harold
Benjafield accepting the office of Executor I give to him a legacy of Ten
Pounds free of duty. 

3. I give a legacy of Fifty pounds free of duty to my friend Lilian Maud
Hegan now living with me.

4. I give a legacy of One hundred Pounds free of duty to the Trustees of
the Wincanton Congregational Church.

5. I give a legacy of One Hundred Pounds free of duty to the Wincanton
and East Somerset Memorial Hospital.

6. I direct that the receipt of the Treasurers for the time being of the
Wincanton Congregational Church and of the Wincanton and East Somerset
Memorial Hospital shall be a good and sufficient discharge for their
respective legacies. 

7. I give devise and bequeath all the rest of my estate of whatever
nature to my said Trustees upon Trust to realise the same with the
discretion of absolute owners with power to postpone the sale or
realisation for such a period as they may think fit and out of the
proceeds of sale and any ready money which I may be possessed of at the
time of my death to pay my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses
and to divide the net residue into five shares and to pay such shares as
follows.  One such share to my niece Freda Bottle [0975] daughter of my
late brother Alexander Henry Bottle [2085].  One such share to my brother
Thomas William Bottle [2086]. One such share to my brother Herbert James
Bottle [3485]. One such share to my nephew Allan Charles Henry Wallace
son of my deceased sister Annie Wallace [0640] and one such share to my
niece Beatrice Caroline Bottle [1029] the daughter of my deceased brother
Louis Bottle [1602].

8. If any of my said brothers shall die in my lifetime leaving a child or
children living at my death who shall attain the age of 21 years then and
in every case the last mentioned child or children shall take and if more
than one equally between them the share which his her or their parent
would have taken in my residuary estate if such parent had survived me.

9. If any brother or sister of mine shall die in my lifetime not leaving
any child or children but leaving a wife or husband living at my such
wife or husband shall take the share which her or his deceased husband or
wife would have taken in my residuary estate if he or she had survived
me.
