WILL of Martha BOTLEY #6834 in 1649, with comments received from a professional paleographer.

6 is in English. 6A is in Latin and appears to refer to Martha and
William Botley
NOTE: Nicola Waddington did some transcription and said that Document 6
bears no relation to Document 6A. She said that Document 6 is Martha's
will, Document 6A is part of the court case to prove Richard BOTLEY's
noncupative will.

Nicola Waddington commented on Document 6A as follows:
"Numbers 1 & 2 are dated "die veneris "7o. 7bris. 1649" i.e. 7
Septembris 1649. The 7 is used because it is written "septem", if you
add "bris" you get "septembris". Both are signed by William Boitlee.
This is part of the court case to prove Richard Botley's noncuperative
will. The names I have picked out are as follows:
Richardus Botley de Tingrest def [either defendens or deforcians or
defunctus].
Martha Dennett suis uxor
William Botley suis frater
1) States William Botley is de Stroot Greene [3 letters unclear] Hornsey
in comitatu Middlesex
Mentions a William Rawlins "et elegit domum Willelmi awlins clericus
infra villam Westoning in comitatu Bedd"
2) "William Botley ---- qui habitat
apud Stroote Greene in Hornsey"
This seems to repeat the first part but does not use identical language.
They both appear to be sworn statements.
3) Dated: die Mercurij xiij. die ---- Septembris 1649
The names mentioned are as follows:
Richardus Botley de Tingrest, def. Possibly defunctus as this talks
about his non cuperative will.
Anna Dennet soror
Martha Botley relicta, [i.e. widow]
William Botley freter
NOTE: these female relationships are different from those stated in the
first three lines.
The subject of the document is Richard Botley. It relates to his
noncuperative will. At one point are the words "voluntatem
noncupativum" and 2 lines below marked * is the line "Martha Botley eius
relictus sua ac dicti sui testamenti noncupativi ---". This seems to be
the answers/depositions toi the list of interrogatories regarding
Richard Botley's noncupative will, which is your numbered document 8A
and 8B [RICH____.doc]. There is unlikely to be much important
information here as it would be interested solely in establishing the
validity of Richard's will rather than the actual bequests.
In the margin between docs 2 and 3 there appears to be a mentionb of
Leslie Botley. No connection is given."
