IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN
I Nicholas Adams of the parish of Harrietsham in the
County of Kent Yeoman being of sound and disposing
memory and understanding praised be God therefore
do this twenty seventh day of July in the twelth year of
the Reign of King George the Second of great Brittain
.... and in the year of our Lord Christ one Thousand
Seven hundred and thirtyeight make this my last
Will and Testament in manner and Form following
First and principally I commend my soul into the
hands of almighty God who gave it me and my Body I
commit to the earth to be decently interred according to
the discretion of my Executor hereinafter named
and as touching such worldly estate as it hath pleased
God to bless me with I give and devise the same as
hereinafter is mentioned expressed and declared (that
is to say) First I give and devise all that my Messuage
or Tenement with the Mills Millhouses and all other
the outhouses edifices and Buildings thereto belonging
together with all the Lands Tenements Hereditaments
and premises and appurtenances thereunto also
belonging situate lying and being at or near a certain ????
called Farboarne in the said parish of
Harrietsham and now in my own occupation unto

my nephew Alexander Bottle son of Alexander
Bottle of Harrietsham aforesaid carpenter and
his heirs to have and to hold the aforesaid
Messuage or tenement Mills Millhouses Lands
Tenements Hereditaments and premises with their
and every of their appurtances unto the said Alexander
Bottle my Nephew his heirs and assigns to the only
proper use of the said Alexander Bottle my nephew
and of his heirs and assigns forever and they paying
the rent yearly and every year unto my loving Sister
Elizabeth Adams the rest of her life ...  . .  ... payment of ten pounds 

of lawful money of great Brittain quarterly during
so long Time as she shall continue and remain single
and unmarried and . .  also in I give and bequeath
unto my aforesaid Nephew Alexander Bottle all my
ready money securities for money and all other my
personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever whereof
I shall dye possessed after my just Debts Funeral
charges and the charges of the probate hereof shall be
fully paid and satified and I do hereby nominate
constitute and appoint my said Nephew Alexander
Bottle full and sole Executor hereof revoking and
making void all former and other Wills by me
heretofore made and declare this to be my last Will
and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto
set my hand and Seal the day and year above
written Nicholas Adams Signed Sealed and delivered
published and ... declared by the said Nicholas Adams
the Testator to be his last Will and Testament in the
presence of us who in his presence and at his request
subscribed out Names as witnesses thereunto

The above registered Will of Nicholas Adams
deceased was proved the 27th day of October 1739 before
the Rvd. Richard ... Clerk lawfull Surrogate
to the worshipfull George Lee Doctor of Laws Official
General to the Rv'd. Archbishop of Canterbury
constituted by the Oath of Alexander Bottle Nephew of
the said deceased and executor herein named to whom
Administration of the goods chattels and creddits of the said
deceased was ... he being sworn well and truly to
perform that same. ~~
