In the Name of God Amen. I Alexander Bottle [2108] of the parish of
Harrietsham in the County of Kent Carpenter being of perfect sound mind and memory
blessed be God Do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner
and form as followeth Imprimis I Commit my Soul to my Lord and Saviour Jesus
Christ hoping he by his Mercy will receive it for ever and as to my Body my Will
and desire is that it may be decently buried at the discretion of my Executor hereafter
named As to my Worldly Estate Goods and Chattels which it hath pleased Almighty
God to bless me with I give and bequeath in manner and form as follows Itm
my wearing apparel purse and girdle with Debts due to me I give to my Extor
for ever Itm I Give to my Son Robert Bottle [2782] and to his Heirs for ever All the
House were I now live with the Shop Yard Land and all the premises thereunto
belonging only the full benefit and profit of the said House Land and all the
premises I give to my Wife for her Maintenance during her natural life
Itm I give unto my Son Benjamin Bottle [2786] the Sum of Five Pounds to be
paid by my Son Robert Bottle [2782] at the Decease of my aforesaid Wife Itm I Give
unto my Son Alexander Bottle [2105] and unto my Cousin Alexander Bottle [?] the Sum of
Five Shillings each to be paid them by my Son Robert Bottle [2782] at the Decease of
my aforesaid Wife Itm I Give unto my Daughter Sarah Bottle [2788] All my House
Land and Premises situate on the North side of Lenham Town now in the
Occupation of Spillett Transum to her and her Heirs for ever Only the full
benefit and profit of the said House I give to my wife for her maintenance
during her natural Life Itm I Give all my Household Goods to be equally
divided to my son Robert Bottle [2782] and my Daughter Sarah Bottle [2788] at the decease
of my aforesaid Wife My Will is that my Clock and Jack may not be
removed from the place were they now stand Itm I Give unto my Cousin
Benjamin Bottle [2110?] All my Instruments and Books usefull for Surveying Land
Item I Give unto my son Robert Bottle [2782] All my Instruments and Tools usefull
in Cutting Screws Lastly I do nominate and Appoint my son Robert Bottle [2782]
to be my sole Executor to this my Last Will and Testament In Witness wherof I have
hereunto Set my Hand and Seal in the presence of three Witnesses this fourth day of

Examd The before Registered Will of Alexander Bottle [2108] deceased was proved the twenty first day
of May 1764 before the Reverend Thomas Leigh Clerk Surrogate to the Worshipful
Francis Simpson Doctor of Laws Official General to the Reverend the Archdeacon
of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the Oath of Robert Bottle the Son and sole Extor
named in the said Will He being first Sworn duly to perform the same.
