Alexander [2105], Miller of Harrietsham Prc/11/17/103/52.
This is the last Will and Testament
of me Alexander Bottle [2105] Miller of the parish of Harrietsham in the
County of
Kent Miller. First I hereby revoke and make void all former and other wills
by me at
any time heretofore made And I declare this only to be and contain my whole
and entire last Will
and Testament And as for and concerning all such Temporal Estate as it hath
pleased God to bestow upon me I Give and Dispose thereof as followeth / that
is to say /
In the first place I Will and Direct that all my just Debts and Funeral
Expences be
fully paid and satisfied and I desire that my Body may be buried in as private
and
decent a manner as possible at the Discretion of my Executor hereinafter named
I
Give and Bequeath to my only Son Alexander Bottle [2103] the sum of Five
Pounds of
lawful Money of Great Britain to buy him Mourning Also I Give and bequeath
unto my Grandson Alexander Bottle [2102] the Younger of Sandwich in the Said
County of Kent
Butcher the Sum of Fifty Pounds of like Money to be paid to him by my Executor
hereinafter named
within three Calendar Months next after my decease Also I Give and Bequeath
unto
my Son in Law William Muddle [2350] and to my daughter Mercy [2752] his wife
and their assigns
for and during the Term of their natural lives and the life of the longest
Liver of them
One Annuity or Clear yearly Rent Charge or Sum of Six pounds of like
lawful money payable half yearly on the first Days of the Annunciation of the
blessed
Virgin Mary and St Michael the Archangel in equal portions. The first payment
thereof
to Commence and be made on the first of the Feast days aforesaid that shall
next happen
after my decease And I do hereby Charge all and every my Messuages Lands and
Tenements Heraditaments and Real Estate with the payment of the said Annuity
Clear yearly Rent Charge or Sum of Six Pounds to my said Son and Daughter
William
Muddle [2350] and Mercy [2752] his wife in manner aforesaid And in default of
payment thereof
I do hereby Authorize and empower the said William Muddle [2350] and Mercy
[2752] his Wife
and their Assigns to enter into and upon all or any part of my said Messuages
Lands
Tenements Heraditaments and Real Estate and distrain (?) for the same And the
Distress and Distresses then and there found to take and dispose of in all
respects
as for a Rent at Common Law And Subject to and charged and Chargeable with
the said Clear Annuity or Yearly Rent Charge of Six pounds as aforesaid I Give
and Devise all that my Messuage or Tenement Farm and Lands with the Appurts

Situate lying and being at a certain place called Biggin Heath in the parish
of
Lenham in the said county of Kent the Land being now in my own Occupation
and the Messuage or Tenement in the Occupation of Samuel Murton (?) And also
all
that my two Messuages or Tenements / one of which I have lately erected and
built /
Mill Millhouse Buildings Lands and premises with the Appurtenances
Situate lying and being in the parish of Harrietsham aforesaid in the said
County of Kent and now in my own Occupation And the Widow Selwin and
William Godfrey And all and every other my Messuages Lands Tenements and
Real Estate whatsoever and wheresoever Situate lying and being whereof or
wherever
I am Seized or Intitled to any Estate of Freehold or Inheritance in Possession
revision in
Remainder or Expectancy unto my Grandson Benjamin Bottle [2312] / who now
lives with me /
his Heirs and Assigns for ever And I Give and Bequeath All the Rest Residue
and
Remainder of my Goods Chattels Household Goods and Furniture Stock Crop and
Effects Monies and Securities for Money and all other my Personal Estate
whatsor.
and wheresoever / after payment of my Debts Funeral Expences and the above
mentioned Legacies / unto my said Grandson Benjamin Bottle [2312]

I Nominate Constitute and appoint the said Benjamin Bottle [2312] my Grandson
Sole
Executor of this my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said
Alexander Bottle [2105] the Elder the Testator to this my last Will and
Testament
contained in one Sheet of Paper have set my Hand and Seal this Ninth day of
May in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and Ninety two

in the presence of us who at his request and in his presence and in the

The before Registered Will of Alexander Bottle [2105] the Elder deceased was
proved
the sixteenth day of November 1797 before the Reverend George Hearne Clerk -
Surrogate to the Worshipful Sir William Scott Knight Doctor of Laws Official
General to the Reverend the Archdeacon of Canterbury Lawfully constituted by
the Oath of Benjamin Bottle [2312] the Grandson of the Testator and sole
Executor named in the said Will He being first Sworn duly to perform
the same
