I Willm. Bottle [1689] now belonging to his Majesties
ship Cumberland George .... Commander being in bodily
health and of sound and disposing mind and memory and
considering the dangers and many uncertainties of this our [?]
Transitory Life do for avoiding Controversies after my decease
make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament
in manner following / that is to say / First I recommend
my Soul to God that gave it and my Body to the
Sea or Earth as it shall please God to Order and
as for all my Worldly Estate I give bequeath and
dispose thereof as followeth / that is to say / All my
Wages Sum and Sums of Money Lands Tenements Goods
Chattles and Estate whatsoever as shall be any ways
due Owing or belonging unto me at the time of my
decease I give devise and bequeath the same unto
my worthy and Affectionate Mother Mrs. Elizabeth Gaston [?]
of the parish of Gillingham in the County of Kent and
I do hereby Nominate and Appoint the aforesaid Mrs.
Elizabeth Gaston [?] my Sole Executrix of this my last Will
and Testament hereby revoking all former and other Wills
Testaments and Deeds of Gift by me at any time
heretofore made And I do Ordain and ratify these presents
to stand and be for { our or } my only last Will and
Testament In Witness whereof to this my said Will I
have set my hand and Seal the seventh day of May
and in the twenty seventh year of the Reign of our
Sovereign Lord George the Second over Great Britain
France and Ireland and Defender of the Faith and so
forth And in the year of our Lord One thousand seven
hundred and fifty four [William Botell ] [ + sign of his mark?]

This Will was proved at London before the
Worshipfull Andrew Coltee [?] Ducarel [?] Doctor of Law and
Surrogate of the Right Worshipfull Edward Simpson also
Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the
Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted on
the sixth day of November in the year of our Lord one
thousand seven hundred and Sixty by the Oath of Elizabeth
Gaston [?] widow Mother of the deceased and sole Executrix
named in the said Will to whom Administration was granted
of all and singular the Goods Chattles and Credits of the said
deceased She having been first sworn duly to administer.
