In the name of God Amen
I Richard Bottle [1246] of Chart next Sutton in the
County of Kent Yeoman being of perfect memory
praised be God doo make and ordain this my last will
and testament the twentythird day of February One
thousand six hundred and ninety and nine and in the
twelfth yeare of his Majesties Raigne King William
the third and in manner and form as following First I bequeath
my soul into the hands of Almighty God my Maker
hoping that thro' the meritorious Death and passion of
Gods Almighty Onely Saviour and Redeemer to
receive free pardon and forgiveness of all my Sins And as
for my Body to be buried decently with the discretion of
my Executor hereafter mentioned Item I give and bequeath
unto Ester Tadman [5359] wife of William Tadman [6746] my
Eldest Daughter ten pounds Item I give and bequeath
unto Alexander Bottle [3271] my eldest Son ten pounds Item
I give and bequeath unto Mary Bottle [2769] my Second
daughter ten pounds Item I give and bequeath unto
Frances Bottle [2770] my third daughter twenty five pounds
Item I give and bequeath to Alice Botle [2771] my fourth
daughter fifteen pounds Item I give and bequeath
unto Elizabeth Rich [3387] wife of Robert Rich [5668] my fifth
daughter fifteen pounds Item I give and bequeath
unto Sarah Bottle [6743] my six daughter twenty five pounds
Item I give and bequeath unto William Bottle [6745] my
youngest son fifty five pounds All these above mentioned
legacies not to be paid till after my beloved wife Frances [1144]
is deceased and then within one month next after the said
Frances [1144] my beloved wife is deceased to be all paid by
my Executors to them and to their heirs for ever
Item all the rest of my goods and chattells whatsoever
I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Frances [1144]
and my second (?) son Richard Bottle [3212] and after the
decease of my beloved wife Frances [1144] then solely to my
Second Son Richard Bottle [3212] aforesaid to him and to his
heirs for ever And doo make and ordaine my beloved
wife Frances [1144] and my second Son Richard Bottle [3212] aforesd
my sole Executors of this my Last Will and Testament
revoking all other Wills whatsoever In witness
