The pages that follow were created from my ArcPlus database using LDS Personal Ancestral File 5.1.7.0 to create a GEDCOM file, then using GED2WWWF to make the genealogical search web pages from the GEDCOM file.
I have excluded everyone born after 1908. I have also excluded my Sources and Notes information because these contain detailed references to people still alive and whose permission it would be impractical to get.
Where I have the General Register Office references for a birth, marriage or death registration, I include them within triangular brackets, e.g.<Strood 2a 572>. Note that these give only the Registration District, not the specific place name. Of course, I may well have made typing mistakes, so do not put too much trust in my entries!
If you want further information on anyone in the database, just let me know.
To get to the database of people using the BOTTLE surname (and some variants, particularly early on) with some of the associated families: Click here.
If you download the GEDCOM file and import it into a genealogical program (e.g. Personal Ancestral File, Brother's Keeper, Family Tree Maker, Legacy etc.), you can search and view family trees more conveniently than with this Web Page. To download a compressed ('zipped') version of the GEDCOM file, right-click the cursor on this link, select "Save Target As ...", give it a name such as Bottles.zip and save it on your computer somewhere. Then unzip the file using WinZip or similar, to obtain the actual GEDCOM file for importing to a genealogical program.
